It's been 17 years since Mariah Carey first topped the charts with her festive Christmas number, 'All I Want For Christmas'. This year, not only has the renowned diva recorded a new version of the hit with teen star Justin Bieber, she is also releasing a duet with John Legend, entitled 'When Christmas Comes'. The video for the new single features footage of her with her husband Nick CannoNand her eight-month-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
The video - much of which has been shot in a vintage, grainy Super-8 style, to look like an intimate home recording - features footage of her and the babies, inter-spliced with footage from old 'Peanuts' cartoons and scenes of her singing to a family gathering, accompanied by John Legend on piano. It's not the first time that Carey's fans have had access to footage of the twins; Mariah and Nick were the subject of an ABC Tv special back in October 2011, when they introduced the newborns boys to the world and referred to them as 'Roc' and 'Roe'.
The track 'When Christmas Comes' was originally recorded for Mariah's 2010 album Merry Christmas II You but the singer decided to re-record it as a duet with Legend. The video for her duet with Justin Bieber features Mariah catching Bieber's eye in a revealing Santa dress, showing off her figures after her recent 70lb weight loss, as reported by the Daily Mail last month.
