Marc Jacobs has been forced to postpone his New York Fashion Week show.
The designer had been due to showcase his latest collection at the New York State Armory on Monday (11.02.13) but has now moved it to Thursday (14.02.13) to the Lincoln Center.
Marc Jacobs International president Robert Duffy says the delay has been caused by missing bags, shoes and two fabrics and they don't expect to get delivery until Monday.
However, with the Marc Jacobs show now taking place in the new late Thursday evening time slot on the last day of NYFW, many editors will have already left the city for London Fashion Week, which starts the next day.
Robert said: ''Marc and I are extremely sorry for this inconvenience. We just want to have the best show possible and show all the products that our design team has been working on so hard for the last six months. We completely understand if people have to get on a plane to go to London. We're not expecting people to change those plans or other plans just for us. We are live streaming the show. Still, [and] we recognise the significant inconvenience.''
Jacobs' more affordable line, Marc by Marc Jacobs, will take the Monday slot, but will move from the New York State Armory to the The Tents at Lincoln Center.
