Boxing champion Manny Pacquiao has hinted he'll retire from the ring in 2016 to pursue a full-time political career in the Philippines.
The fighter and entertainer has told a Filipino radio station he plans to run for the Senate in his homeland - and that will mark the end of his incredible boxing career, during which the 35 year old has won world titles in eight different weight divisions.
He told Dzmm, "There's a big possibility that I will run for Senator. The United Nationalist Alliance party asked me to join its slate and I am grateful they picked me."
Pacquiao has been involved in politics in the Philippines for many years and currently stands as a congressman for Sarangani province.
Meanwhile, he is in training for a November (14) fight against America's Chris Algieri in China.
