The European soccer event, which will take place across France in June and July this year (16), is the first major soccer tournament Wales' footballers have qualified for since 1958.

In support of their country's players, who include Real Madrid star Gareth Bale and Arsenal player Aaron Ramsey, the indie rock group will release a track titled Together Stronger (C'mon Wales).

The band announced the news via their official account in a post which read, "It's with great pride we can announce the Manics are providing the official Wales Euro 2016 song - 'Together Stronger (C'mon Wales)'."

The Welsh team will face British neighbours and fierce rivals England in the competition's first round in Lens, France on 16 June (16).

The musicians behind England's official song are yet to be announced.

Artists who have previously released official England tournament records include rockers New Order with soccer star John Barnes, Echo and the Bunnymen and Embrace, as well as TV hosts Anthony MCPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

Another who has unofficially released a track for the England soccer team is U.S. late night host James Corden, who teamed up with British rapper Dizzee Rascal in 2010 on the song Shout.
