Authorities are investigating three deaths at the HARD Summer music festival in Fontana, California.
The electronic dance music event, which featured performances from Major Lazer, Ty Dolla $ign, AlunaGeorge, Ice Cube and Desiigner took place at the city's Auto Club Speedway over the weekend (30-31Jul16).
A press release issued by the San Bernardino County Sherriff's department named the deceased as Derek Lee, 22, Alyssa Dominguez, 21, and Roxanne Ngo, 22.
Police officials stated that all three individuals were transported to separate hospitals for medical attention, where they were pronounced dead.
The press release went on to state, "These deaths are being investigated individually and, at this time, are not believed to be related," adding that investigations into the cause and manner of each death is ongoing.
Angel Ghaemi, 22, a festival goer who attempted to resuscitate a woman who she believes was Dominguez, told the Los Angeles Times, "I tried to do CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and nothing was working... I was there for 15 minutes until the ambulance came, and there was nothing they could do."
Alexandra Greenberg, a spokeswoman for HARD Summer told the paper, "We were deeply saddened to learn about the deaths of three people who attended the festival this weekend.
"While the causes of the deaths have not yet been determined, we ask everyone to keep them in their prayers. Our sincerest thoughts and condolences are with their family and friends."
