Madonna has admitted that she wasn't best pleased when she saw her 15 year-old daughter Lourdes in the press smoking a cigarette recently. Talking to Msnbc.com, the 53 year-old said "(I) wasn't very happy . honestly, I don't think I'm as tough as I should be. I think I need to be maybe tougher", continuing, "It's hard - every day is a negotiation. But cigarette smoking I'm not very fond of - for anyone."
Hang on a minute though Madge, didn't you smoke in your last video? "I don't smoke," she insisted, "That's just an accessory . There's a difference. (Lourdes) smoked that cigarette before I did that video!" Madonna does seem a strict parent though, and it's likely that Lourdes' smoking is simply a case of teenage rebellion - which of course usually leads to a life long habit. The Queen of pop said that though her fans see a racier side of her, at home her kids get the one "that comes home and says, 'Have you done your homework?' and 'Why are you wearing that?' and 'Why did you say that?' and 'What are you eating that for?'"
