Machine Head frontman Rob Flynn is recovering after a successful hernia operation on Wednesday (14Nov12).

The rocker went under the knife in Minneapolis, Minnesota to treat the double inguinal hernia he has been struggling with since last year (11).

Flynn took along a camera to document his hospital visit, filming a nurse as she removed an intravenous drip from his arm and recording a "groggy" video diary after emerging from surgery.

In the clip, posted on YouTube.com, the singer says, "It went really good. They cut a couple holes in me. They patched it up really good. Got some good drugs in me, so I'm not feeling a whole lot of pain now. Apparently my hernia is fixed."

MAChine Head have cancelled a number of North American tour dates to allow Flynn time to get better.
