Macaulay Culkin's day in court has been pushed back to allow attorneys to work on a plea bargain in his drug possession case.

The 24-year-old HOME ALONE star was scheduled to appear in Oklahoma County District Court yesterday (03FEB05), but the hearing was moved to 6 April (05).

Police arrested Culkin during a traffic stop on 17 September (04) in north-east Oklahoma City.

About 17.3 grams of marijuana and 16 milligrams of XANAX, a prescription drug used to treat depression and panic disorders, were found in the vehicle, which was stopped for travelling at 70 miles (110 kilometres) per hour in a 60 miles (95 kilometres) per hour speed zone and making an improper lane change, police said. Culkin wasn't driving.

Oklahoma County prosecutors have charged him with misdemeanour counts of possession of marijuana and possession of the Xanax. He pleaded innocent to the charges in October (04).

Culkin was freed on $4,000 (GBP2,105) bail shortly after his arrest.
