Luke Wilson is making a return to the small screen in the upcoming music comedy series by Cameron Crowe.

The Old School star has joined the cast of Roadies, a programme centring around a fictional U.S. rock band and featuring Wilson as the group's road-weary tour manager.

Starring alongside Wilson in the Showtime network comedy are British actors Imogen Poots and Rafe Spall, Oscar nominee Keisha Castle-Hughes, and NCIS: Los Angeles actor Peter Cambor.

The project will mark Crowe's first foray into Tv, and he will write, direct and executive produce Roadies with Star Trek filmmaker J.J. Abrams.
