The country star suffered a broken clavicle after a biking accident in early October (16), but refused to let his injury derail his tour plans and he kicked off his latest trek in Greenback, Tennessee that night, taking to the stage with his arm in a sling.

He underwent surgery in between tour dates, but instead of continuing to use his sling as per doctors' orders, Luke cast away the medical accessory because it was impeding on his ability to dance properly onstage.

"When you break your daggum (sic) collar bone, and you're a singer... you don't necessarily follow all of the doctor's orders, like, 'Be in a sling for three weeks,' not three days," the Crash My Party star said during a recent interview, according to Austin, Texas radio station KASE 101.

"I can't be up there in a sling doing what I'm trying to do. I mean, to shake? The sling was counterbalancing me."

Luke resumed his Farm Tour three days after his surgery, but he has just one more show left on the trek in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday (29Oct16).

He is also due to perform at the 50th Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, which will take place in Nashville, Tennessee on 2 November (16).
