Hollywood beauty Lucy Liu will never behave like a diva, because her parents raised her to believe in the benefits of hard work.

The Charlie's Angels: FULL THROTTLE actress says her Chinese parents - who settled in New York before she was born - were initially concerned about her decision to become an actress.

Liu, 35, says, "They weren't really very excited about me becoming an actress because they thought it wasn't a good way to make a steady income.

"But they could see I felt alive doing it, and then they saw me making money and being good at it, so eventually they stopped worrying.

"I think because of them, I never take anything for granted. And besides, if you're too busy being a diva, then how can you enjoy what you do?"
