Country legend Loretta Lynn is set to mark the 50th anniversary of her Grand Ole Opry debut with a special performance at the famous music venue in Nashville, Tennessee next month (Sep12).
The Coal Miner's Daughter hitmaker was just starting out in the industry when she made her first appearance at the home of country music in 1962, and now she will mark the success of her long career with a return gig on 25 September (12).
Famous friends Miranda Lambert, Lee Ann Womack and Trace Adkins will join Lynn and her sister Crystal Gayle at the special show.
President Pete Fisher says, "There is no one at the Opry, in country music or on earth quite like Loretta Lynn. Her influence as a recording artist and songwriter reaches across musical genres, cultures, and generations. She's earned her place among America's musical icons, and we look forward to celebrating 50 years of Opry membership with her next month."
