Lorde Tops Both Single And Album Us Itunes Charts With 'Royals' A And 'Pure Heroine'

Lorde has added another groundbreaking feather to her cap with the news that she has claimed the #1 spot on both the iTunes Singles Chart with 'Royals' and Album Chart with her debut full-length Pure Heroine in the US, going past Justin Timberlake, Drake, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus along the way. Lorde is also the youngest performer to top the Billboard chart in 26 years with 'Royals' taking the #1 spot last week, after rising from #2 the previous week. 

This comes as the latest addition to an unprecedented list of achievements for the 16 year old artist, including being the first female artist in 17 years to top the US alternative radio chart, 'Royals' going to #1 in the Shazam chart in the US, the video for the track enjoying a combined over 15 million views on YouTube, Lorde gracing the cover of Billboard magazine and having her praises sung by everyone from Elton John to Diplo.
