Singing veteran Liza Minnelli wowed fellow patients at a New York state hospital recently when she launched into an impromptu performance of her best-loved tunes.

Minnelli regaled patients, nurses and visitors during her stint last month (DEC04) at the Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains, where she was admitted after falling out of her bed.

A source tells website PAGESIX.COM, "She was endearing and bubbly and very outgoing."

Minnelli reportedly sang her classic tunes and reminisced about her movies Cabaret, THE STERILE CUCKOO and ARTHUR.

The 58-year-old star is currently rehearsing for her three-night gig at New York's WESTBURY MUSIC FAIR from 18 to 20 February (05).
