Lisa Rinna, the American actress and star of 'Melrose Place' and 'Days of Our Lives', has undergone surgery to reduce the size of her lips, reports People Magazine. The 47-year-old went under the knife in August 2010 to make changes to her signature large upper lip, which was the result of a silicone injection back in 1986.
The actress, who appeared in the second season of 'Dancing with the Stars', has endured years of ridicule for her modified appearance, admitting, "I took a big hit for being honest. It gave everyone online permission to lambaste me. It hurt my feelings". Rinna, who will now have to wait six months for a full recovery, acknowledged that she no longer wanted her lips to define her character, and added that she was pleased with the results of the latest surgery, saying, "It has no lumps! It's smooth. It doesn't matter what other people think. I did it for myself."
The actress is set to star in the upcoming reality show, 'Harry Loves Lisa', which documents her life with husband Harry Hamlin. The series premieres tonight (6th October 2010) on US cable television network TV Land.
