Lisa Marie Presley has a blunt message for any critics who may poke fun at her new music career - she'll "screw 'em".
The thrice-married singer, 35, daughter of legendary rock and roller ELVIS, has been putting off offers of a record deal for years - but is now confident she can suffer any criticism doubters may throw at her.
Lisa, whose debut album is called TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, explains, "I've been offered record deals since I was a teenager, but I didn't want to do this for the wrong reasons. I don't think I would have been able to take this had I been younger and hadn't developed artistically. I had to find my way first.
"But finally it comes down to thinking, 'Well, my a** is out there now, so go ahead and say whatever you have to say, and screw 'em. At least I had the balls to do it."21/07/2003 13:19
