Lisa Kudrow was heartbroken when she was sacked from hit US comedy Frasier before filming even began, because she was convinced she would never have to worry about money again.

The former FRIENDS star landed a part in the hit TV series after enduring years as a struggling actress, but she was shocked when the show's producers dumped her shortly after awarding her the part.

She recalls, "I was struggling actor and I auditioned for the role of ROZ DOYLE, the radio producer. I was so excited. I just loved everything about it.

"I just knew the show would run for at least five years so I'd never have to worry about paying my rent again.

"I wanted that part so badly and I got hired. And then I got fired."
