Lionel Richie looks set to be greeted with another round of media quips about how he's likely to be "dancing on the ceiling" as his latest album continues to be a roaring success, with Billboard now reporting that it's expected to go right to the top of their Top 200 chart this weekend. The official statistics won't be known until tomorrow, but the chart compilers claim that Richie is on course for the third chart-topping album of his career.
It was the ominous spectre of Adele's '21' that looked set to be returning to the top of the charts again, for what would've been the 24th non-consecutive week it had come in at number one. However music industry sources claim that Richie's 'Tuskagee' has sold some 125,000 copies in the week leading up to April 17th, buoyed by a two-hour CBS concert special last week on US television, the broadcast attracting some 7.7 million viewers and seeing the star sing alongside pals like Tim Mcgraw, Kenny Rogers and Martina McBride.
