Rockers Linkin Park have scrapped the remainder of their The Hunting Party tour dates to allow frontman Chester Bennington time to fully recover from an ankle injury.

The band initially cancelled two dates in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Albany, New York this week (beg19Jan15), but now all the concerts have been axed.

A new statement from the group doesn't specify how Bennington injured his leg, but the bandmates reveal it "requires immediate medical attention".

Bennington says, "I'm really disappointed this injury has made it impossible to continue with this tour. The first couple (of) shows were just magical. We will truly miss not being with our fans for the next few weeks. Hope to see you again soon."

Announcing the cancellation of the first two dates, the singer tweeted, "Argh!... Man this sucks guys. I need my foot to work. If you guys have some good vibes laying around, send them c/o (care of) my ankle."
