Lindsay Lohan's father is hoping his daughter's post-rehab encounter with her Freaky Friday co-star Jamie Lee Curtis will mark the start of the troubled actress' comeback.
The 24 year old has endured a notoriously tough fall from grace since she shot to fame as a Disney child star, with numerous stints in jail and rehab over the last few years.
She completed her latest stay in court-ordered treatment on Monday (03Jan11), a punishment which stemmed from breaking the rules of her probation from a 2007 DUI.
Lohan had a chance encounter with Curtis - who championed the actress' talents after starring alongside her in 2003 - in Los Angeles on Tuesday (04Jan11), and her father is convinced the meeting symbolises a change in his daughter's fortunes.
He tells E! Online, "(It was an) absolute coincidence. We were waiting in the (building) lounge for 15 seconds or so when Jamie Lee walked in... All the people that were in Lindsay's life when things were going well, when she was in Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, are now coming back into her life.
"She is going back to her roots, going back to all the people who were in her life when she was doing good. I believe she is going to prove to the entire industry she is back for good."
