Executives at the financial firm targeted in Lindsay Lohan's multi-million dollar lawsuit have vowed to fight the actress' allegations their latest commercial pokes fun at her personal problems.
The Mean Girls star was furious after watching E*TRADE's new commercial, which depicts a baby girl called Lindsay as a boyfriend stealer and a "milkaholic".
The actress' lawyers have accused advertising bosses of exploiting their client's famous first name and public persona without permission, insisting the use of the name Lindsay is a direct reference to Lohan.
But bosses at the online investment firm deny Lohan was the inspiration for the ad, which they claim was meant to be "witty and memorable".
And they're ready to take on the star if the case goes to court.
A spokesperson for the company tells TMZ.com, "We believe the claims are without merit and we intend to defend ourselves vigorously in this case."
