Officials In The U.k. Have Dropped A Court Case Against Singer LINDA NOLAN After She Wrongly Claimed More Than $19,200 (£12,000) In Welfare Payments.
Earlier this month (May15), The Nolans star was accused of failing to declare jobs to authorities while she was receiving welfare for being out of work and financial help with her housing costs.
Nolan blames the error on a "simple mistake" and began paying off the $19,200 sum but was ordered to appear at Blackpool Magistrates' Court in England on Tuesday (19May15).
Now bosses at Britain's Department of Work and Pensions have decided to drop their fraud case against the star as they accept she suffered health issues following the death of her mother, husband and sister Bernie.
However, Nolan is still facing prosecution by Blackpool Borough Council officials over a housing welfare bill, which is thought to be for around $6,400 (£4,000).
