Limp Bizkit and Machine Head put aside their differences on Sunday night (02Aug09) to play the same stage at a U.K. music festival - just weeks after the OLD hitmakers refused to open for the newly reformed rockers.
MAChine Head were originally billed to perform at Britain's Sonisphere event at the U.K.'s Knebworth Park, in south-east England, but they were bumped down the bill to accommodate Limp Bizkit after they announced their recent return to the music industry.
They then refused to take part, accusing the organisers of making them suffer the "disrespect and indignity" of being pushed down the running order.
But MAChine Head returned to the bill on Sunday night as top secret 'special guests' to play right before their rivals - much to the delight of the crowd, who chanted, "F**k Limp Bizkit" throughout their set, according to Blabbermouth.net.
Frontman Robb Flynn told the audience, "After the promoters of Sonisphere begged us to come back onto this thing last week, the only even consideration that we made it for is for all of you f**king fans, man! It wasn't for Sonisphere, it wasn't for Limp Bizkit - it was for the lunatics of this country that have treated us so f**king good, man. It is an honour to play for you, guys. It is a privilege to play for you, guys. We are so f**king lucky to have a fan base like you, man."
But the rockers reignited their feud after the gig, with Limp Bizkit's DJ Lethal accusing MAChine Head of blowing the battle out of proportion.
Writing on his Facebook.com page, he said, "I am a fan (of MAChine Head) too; they just got p**sy about some promoter stuff then got personal. I even wore a MH shirt on stage. They still played after crying about the whole thing. We would have gladly played before them; no big deal."
