In a surprising twist, normally gobby popster Lily Allen has admitted she feels sorry for shambolic singer Britney Spears.
The youngster told the Daily Mirror that she is concerned for the American pop star, who has been well off the rails for the last year, claiming that the pressure of being a child star has got to her.
Lily said: "My heart goes out to her. I feel that she must be in a tough place right now. It's really upsetting."
She added: "I was 19 when I started doing this, so I can't even imagine what it must be like for her.
"I find it sort of nightmarish on some days but amazing on others, and I am no way as successful or famous as she is."
Lily was speaking at Stella Mccartney's show at Paris Fashion Week, following news that Britney has temporarily lost custody of her two children and was branded a habitual drugs user by the presiding judge.
