Lily Allen is saving up her designer clothes for any daughters she may have.

The 'Not Fair' singer - who has made no secret of her desire to have a baby with boyfriend Sam Cooper - says her priorities when she goes shopping have changed because she now wants to buy classic pieces which will stand the test of time.

She said: "When I'm buying expensive things I tend to think, 'Yep, that's something timeless that I can give to my daughter.' "

Next month Lily is to open a rental fashion store with her sister, called Lucy In Disguise, which she hopes will appeal to those who can't afford to buy expensive designer outfits.

Lily is even donating some of her own clothes and hopes the swap shop will encourage a less throw-away shopping culture.

She told Britain's ELLE magazine: "It's not ethical to do that, so I'm quite happy to turn it into a business and see other people having enjoyment out of it."

She also gave advice to anyone wanting to look stylish - always wear high heels no matter how uncomfortable they are.

She said: "One piece of advice I have is about shoes: if they don't hurt, they don't look good. Yes, I know this goes against my whole 'be comfortable' thing - I think it might be to do with me being short..."
