The 'Smile' singer and her husband Sam Cooper - who already have a 14-month-old daughter Ethel - welcomed their second child, Marnie Rose Cooper, into the world on Tuesday (08.01.13) and the pop star has been inundated with messages since revealing her happy news.
She wrote on her Twitter page: ''Quite overwhelmed by all the well wishing going on. THANKYOU everybody x x x (sic)''
Lily's famous friends joined fans in congratulating her on Marnie's arrival, with radio and TV presenter Edith Bowman tweeting: ''A massive congrats to @lilyrosecooper and Sam and family. Loads of love xxx (sic)''
The 27-year-old musician's actor pal Charlie Condou - who shares a birthday with the new arrival - confessed he was emotional upon hearing the news: ''I confess I had a little cry when @lilyrosecooper told me Marnie Rose was born on my 40th birthday. Welcome to the world beautiful girl xxx (sic)''
Former S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens added: ''Congratulatios @lilyrosecooper ! Lovely news! x (sic)''
Lily also exchanged some online banter with radio DJ Lauren Laverne, admitting she was taking some ''strong painkillers'' to deal with the post-labour pains.
