Celebrity friends of Lily Allen have flocked to Twitter to congratulate the singer on becoming a mother for the first time. The 26-year-old is yet to officially comment on the birth, but did write, "totes amaze" on her own Twitter page.
The Smile singer gave birth to a baby-girl on Friday evening (25 November 2011), just a year after she and husband Sam Cooper tragically lost their baby boy when she was six months pregnant. The singer was also left devastated when she suffered a miscarriage after four months when she was seeing The Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons. However, it is understood Lily's first child was fit and healthy after being delivered on Friday - though there's no word yet on the name. Her close friend Sam Chew posted on Twitter, "Sending out love to lily, sam and mini cooper...... Yes", while another pal Charlie Condou confirmed the baby was a girl, according to Hello magazine. Britain's Got Talent star Amanda Holden, who is expecting her second child, wrote, "Massive congrats to lily and Sam! Such good news. Xxxx", while musician turned television presenter Myleene Klass simply tweeted, "congrats".
Lily first announced she was expecting again in June, around the same time she married painter and decorator Cooper in a traditional country wedding in the village of Cranham, north east London.
