Lily Allen is breathing a sigh of relief after reaching her holiday destination following a weekend of airport delays in London.
The Smile singer arrived at London's Heathrow on Saturday (18Dec10) to discover wintry conditions had closed runways and caused several flights to be cancelled.
Allen and her boyfriend Sam Cooper's travel plans were disrupted after they were forced to sit on their plane for more than three hours before all passengers were ordered back to the terminal.
The star and her beau left the airport and returned on Sunday (19Dec10) in the hope of being allowed to catch a flight - but they faced further problems.
In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, Allen writes, "Ok, so, am on the plane, but now, because 5 people haven't made it to the flight they've got to find the bags and get them off the plane. Which would be fine, but BAA baggage handlers are saying the weather has made it unsafe for them to go and find the bags. WHAT?!!!!!!!"
But the 25 year old was finally allowed to depart from the airport and arrived at her destination in the early hours of Monday morning (20Dec10).
Updating her fans on the microblogging site, she declared, "I'm on holiday. Thank the Lord."
