British singer Lily Allen is thrilled to be allowed back into America - after she was banned from the country by immigration officials last year (07).
The Smile hitmaker posted a blog on her MySpace page on Sunday (08Jun08) telling her U.S. fans that she is happy to "be back".
Allen was forced to scrap dates in America last year after her work visa was confiscated following an alleged attack on a paparazzo in London.
The 23-year-old writes: "So, they let me in. Hello America, it's nice to be back.
"Immigration was funny; they only kept me for an hour or so."
Allen is in the country to continue recording songs for her as-yet-untitled second album, according to GigWise.com. The record is due out later this year (08).
