British pop star Lily Allen has poured scorn on rumours she's set to be the new face of fashion giant Chanel, insisting she'd need to go on a "laxative diet" first. The SMILE singer sparked frenzied speculation Karl Lagerfeld wanted her for his muse when she was spotted at the designer's Paris office last month (OCT06). But Allen, famed for her trademark ball gowns and training shoes look, insists she's too large to model for the company, whose celebrity faces include Nicole Kidman and Kate Moss. She says, "The first Chanel dress I tried on was so gorgeous. But it was so small I would need to go on a laxative diet to wear it. "The outfits were all sample size - for models - and were too tight for me. "But they wouldn't have gone with my shoes anyway."
