British singer Lily Allen is learning to smile again following her tragic miscarriage last month (Oct10), telling fans on Twitter.com how she laughed after spotting an advert for a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band.
The star was left devastated after losing her unborn son six months into the pregnancy. The tragedy was compounded when she was hospitalised with septicaemia, which can occur when foetal material left behind in the womb after a miscarriage becomes infected.
But Allen is slowly regaining her strength, and found herself laughing for the "first time" since the painful event after seeing a bizarre poster for a tribute band of the American rockers.
On a link on her Twitter page, Allen showed the poster, which asks wannabe Lynyrd Skynyrd impersonators to enter the contest.
In an accompanying message, she wrote, "First time I've laughed in a while."
