Incarcerated rapper Lil Boosie is to release a memoir about his tough life.
The hip-hop star was sentenced to eight years behind bars in November (11) after he confessed to attempting to smuggle codeine syrup into jail on three separate occasions while serving time for a previous drug and gun possession charge.
He also stands accused of hiring hitmen to kill an adversary in October, 2009, and is due to stand trial for a first-degree murder charge in March (12).
And now Boosie has penned an open letter to his fans from prison, updating them on his current projects and asking them to continue praying for his freedom.
In the letter, obtained by, he writes, "First, I want to than (sic) you all of you for supporting me through these hard time (sic)... I was sentence (sic) to 8 years with credit for time served so i will have to do 19 months on that sentence. I go to trial for this murder charge... so please keep me in your prayers.
"To all my fans who write (to) me... make sure you put your address so I can respond. Its (sic) hard to write every body back but I will try my best to do so. I would also like... all my fans to support Young Jeezy new album Tm 103 hes (sic) a real n**ga with a big heart."
He adds, "I really appreciate everybody whos (sic) supporting and everyone who has sign (sic) the petition and brought Boosie Gear. I want all my fans to know that yall (sic) are so special to me because without you there would be no me."
And he's still promoting his 2012 releases from behind bars, adding, "New Boosie Dvd The Come Up will be in stores soon. Life Story Book The Truth in stores end of 2012. My label, Bad Azz Ent, will be dropping a compilation this year (12) and you already know how we do it."
