The Taken star recalled the touching story on Thursday (07Jan16), while chatting with John Benjamin during the My Favourite Song segment on U.S. show Radio Andy. Liam made listeners smile as he told how Natasha, who passed away after a freak skiing accident in 2009, secretly tuned up her vocal cords to make their 1994 nuptials even more special.

"Behind my back Natasha had been taking singing lessons to sing it to me," he recalled. "After the ceremony, we were all going out to start the night's festivities and she grabbed the microphone and she sang me this (Van Morrison's Crazy Love).

"She had learned it and I was like 'Wow!'"

Natasha, 45, died after hitting her head while on the slopes in Montreal, Canada, and Liam only recently opened up about the heartbreaking loss during an appearance on U.S. news show 60 Minutes in 2014.

"I spoke to her and she said, 'Oh darling, I've taken a tumble in the snow,'" he told newsman Anderson Cooper. "That's how she described it."

Liam flew to be by her hospital bedside, but things took a turn for the worst when doctors declared Natasha brain dead and placed her on life support. The pair, parents to sons Micheál and Daniel, had previously made a pact to let the other go if either of them ever ended up in a vegetative state.

"I went in to her and told her I loved her," he recalled. "Said, 'Sweetie, you're not coming back from this. You've banged your head. It's - I don't know if you can hear me, but that's - this is what's gone down. And we're bringing ya back to New York. All your family and friends will come'."
