Officials at TV ratings firm Nielsen studied U.S. commercials featuring stars from the first quarter of 2015 and scored them for factors including likeability, public awareness and influence.

Neeson and Brosnan tied as the top celebrities in the inaugural N-Scores poll, but the Taken star, who voices advertisements for mobile gaming firm Supercell Games, was found to have a greater influence in selling products to the public.

Matthew MCConaughey also polled well among viewers for his Lincoln car commercials, while Jeff Bridges carries the most amount of influence over fans with his ad for website builder Squarespace, which also promoted his new album of soothing tracks to help fans fall asleep.

Other top celebrity sales people include actress Jennifer Garner, Natalie Portman and Sofia Vergara, and Oscar winner J.K. Simmons.
