Liam Gallagher presented Bradley Wiggins with the Lifetime Achievement prize at the GQ Men of the Year Awards on Tuesday night (04.09.12).
After the Beady Eye frontman gave the Tour De France winner the gong, the Olympic gold medallist admitted it meant ''a lot'' to receive the accolade from the former Oasis singer because he grew up listening to the Manchester band.
He said: ''It means a lot to be presented with this award from Liam. I grew up with Oasis.
''To be in this company with so many faces, including Ashley Cole right down there in front of me, it means a lot.''
Other prizes presented at the event saw Sir Tom Jones win the Legend award and Lana Del Rey pick up the Woman of the Year accolade, while Tinie Tempah won the Solo Artist gong and Take That singer and 'x factor' judge Gary Barlow won the Outstanding Achievement award.
