British rocker Liam Gallagher has defended the high prices of his fashion range - insisting he doesn't want "just anybody" wearing his clothes.
The former Oasis star launched Pretty Green last summer (Jun09), but the collection, which includes jackets for $188 (£125) and jumpers for $143 (£95), was met with a frosty reception from some fans who were outraged by the steep prices.
But the singer is adamant he wants the label to be exclusive.
He tells the New York Times, "I don't want just anybody wearing it. And people go, 'Oh, beggars can't be choosers.' Well, I ain't a beggar, you know what I mean? Not a lot of people look cool these days - like my cool. Everybody plays it down, don't they."
