British rocker Liam Gallagher has hit back at his brother Noel after he branded their former band Oasis a "sham", insisting: "I never faked anything."
The Wonderwall hitmakers split two years ago (09) following a backstage bust-up prior to their gig in Paris, France.
The estranged siblings have since entered a bitter war-of-words through press interviews, and on Sunday (16Oct11) Noel revealed the latter years of the group felt false because he had to pretend to be pals with Liam onstage.
He told Britain's Telegraph magazine, "There's always a power struggle in a band, and when you're young and daft and hopped up (sic) on drugs and alcohol, it can get violent. But when you're all grown men with kids, it just doesn't feel right.
"I found it quite undignified. We're supposed to be the elder statesmen now! All this effing and blinding before gigs, and then going up and singing Live Forever. It was all a bit of a sham, really."
Now Liam has taken his Twitter.com page to address his brother's remarks, writing, "A sham? Speak for yourself, I never faked anything, go to bed and give me a shout in 2015."
