Leonardo Dicaprio is preparing to follow in the footsteps of stars like Billy Crudup and Bob Hoskins by playing the director of America's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), according to reports.
The actor is in talks to star in a new biopic about J. Edgar Hoover.
The FBI boss has previously been played onscreen by Crudup - in last year's (09) Public Enemies - and Hoskins in Oliver Stone's Nixon in 1995.
And now DiCaprio is considering tackling the role in Hoover, which Clint Eastwood is slated to direct, reports website Deadline New York.
