Leona Lewis remains the person to beat in The Race for Christmas number one after holding on to the top spot for the seventh week running.

The X Factor winner's Bleeding Love - the biggest-selling single of the year - continues to beat all-comers and kept Heartbroken by T2 featuring Jodie Aysha in second place again.

And the 22-year-old singer's debut album Spirit stayed at number one in the album chart for the fourth week in a row.

Girls Aloud held on to third position in the singles chart with Call the Shots, while Rule the World by Take That and Apologize by Timbaland and One Republic swapped places with the boyband falling one place to fifth.

Kylie Minogue's latest single 2 Hearts fell three places to number 11 while her tenth studio album X dropped one place to fifth.

And Christmas songs began to make a dent on the charts, with the Pogues' Fairytale of New York climbing a massive 20 places as All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey rose 15 places to eighth in the chart.
