British Pop Star Leona Lewis Is Joining Celebrated Circus Act Cirque Du Soleil For A One-off Charity Show In Las Vegas.
The Bleeding Love singer will appear in the One Night for One Drop show to raise money for the One Drop charity, which helps bring clean water to communities in Central America, India, and West Africa.
One Drop was created by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte in 2007, and the charity performance by the troupe is held annually to bring in cash for the cause.
"Cirque du Soleil is very inspiring for me as an artist," Leona tells the Las Vegas Sun. "I was, like, 'Wow, this (opportunity) is going to be amazing'. Then when I read up on One Drop and what they're doing to ensure fresh running water around the world, obviously they're doing amazing things, so I wanted to get involved... I think I've seen all of them (the Cirque shows) apart from Michael Jackson One and Zumanity."
The One Night for One Drop fundraiser is slated to take place on 18 March (16) at the Smith Center in Las Vegas.
Last year (15), singer John Legend joined the cast for the performance.
