Rocker Lenny Kravitz turned airport driver recently after agreeing to do a favour for a friend and pick up U.S. comedian Jimmy Fallon upon his arrival in the Bahamas.

The funnyman reveals he and his wife Nancy Juvonen flew to the Caribbean island to attend a pal's tropical birthday bash, but there was a problem with the transportation their host had booked for them, so Kravitz, who lives in the Bahamas, offered to meet them at the airport instead.

The Tv presenter shared the story on America's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (04Mar15), when Kravitz's daughter, actress Zoe, was his guest.

Fallon recalled, "I just recently went to the Bahamas for a friend's birthday party. I landed in the Bahamas, I go to some tiny airport. This guy takes my bags and goes, 'Great, get in this car right here'. He turns around (and) it's your dad, Lenny Kravitz. And I go, 'What's going on? What are you doing, man?' He goes, 'I'm here to pick you up, let's go...'

"I got in the... minivan with your dad... Lenny Kravitz just goes, 'Hey, you want a roadie (drink for the road)?' I was there with my wife so we had two dark and stormy (cocktails). I had the best time ever. He dropped me off at the boat (to take him to another island) and I'm like, 'Did that just happen? Did Lenny Kravitz just pick us up at the airport?'"

But Zoe Kravitz admits she isn't surprised by her superstar father's kind gesture, because he probably had nothing better to do.

She said, "It's the island life, you know, you just help people out... There's nothing to do, which is why he had the time to drive you an hour across the island!"
