The 26-year-old singer me the 'Telephone' hitmaker backstage at this year's BRIT Awards and admits he would love to work with her in the future.
He said: "I know her management and her record label, so I walked over because I wanted to meet her.
"I've got a picture on my phone of us - she was really sweet actually. I'd love to do something with her, she's really talented. I'd like to do some more collaborations."
The former Blue singer - who previously claimed whales dying was more important than the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York - also says he is naturally a "silly" person.
He added in an interview with more magazine: "I'm not trying to come out and say like I'm all sensible and grown up, because in so many ways I'm not.
"I think you get two types of people, people that are really sensible and mature and then people like you and me, who are really silly."
He told BANG Showbiz: "You know, it's a very crucial time right now. I've been away for about four years and to come back with my first single, have a film in the cinema with this cast, and to have a solo deal with an album coming out is a bit mental right now.
"But I feel very, very privileged right now. Hopefully, 2010 is going to be a great year!"
