Leann Rimes had a hangnail removed earlier this week.
The 31-year-old singer took to Twitter on Monday morning (28.04.14) to announce that she was having a piece of torn skin cut out of her finger by her dermatologist.
She tweeted: ''Seriously painful hang nail. About to have surgery at the derm. This is not going be very enjoyable!! (sic).''
After the procedure, the 'Can't Fight the Moonlight' hitmaker wasted no time sharing with her fans how painful the surgery was and how bad the numbing treatment was.
She explained: ''Omg, that hurt! Numbing shots on your fingers are no bueno! at least I don't feel any pain right now or my hand for that matter (sic)''.
However, the blonde beauty, who is married to Eddie Cibrian, appeared to be in better spirits later on in the day as she threw herself back into work and announced that she was preparing to record a christmas track.
She wrote: ''Worked out arrangements 4 Xmas songs I'm recording tmrw w/ @darrellbrown SOOO excited about what we're creating for my Xmas project (sic)''.
