GLEE star Lea Michele is heading down the yellow brick road with Dan Aykroyd and Kelsey Grammer - she's landed the role of DOROTHY in a new animated movie-musical based on the The Wizard of Oz.
The singer/actress will lend her voice to upcoming 3D musical Dorothy of Oz, which will see Aykroyd tackle the role of Scarecrow and Grammer as The Tin Man.
The trio will be joined by James Belushi as The Cowardly Lion.
The film is based on the writings of children's author Roger S. Baum, great-grandson of Wonderful Wizard of Oz author L. Frank Baum and will include a musical score written by rocker Bryan Adams, according to
Dorothy of Oz is slated for a 2012 release.
