Lauren Conrad has created a range of accessories made out of recycled plastic bottles, and hopes her fans can learn about how to save the environment by using them.
Lauren Conrad hopes her accessories range can teach people the importance of ''environmental sustainability''.
The 26-year-old fashion designer - who has unveiled a range of 20 travel and cosmetic accessories made out of recycled plastic - believes the collection can help to drive change among her many fans.
She said: ''I wanted to be part of the solution, not the problem.
''As a designer, I hope that my choices can raise visibility around the importance of environmental sustainability and start to drive change with my fans. And what a great way to reuse those bottles we recycle every week.''
Lauren - who rose to fame on MTV reality series 'Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County' - says a particular favourite piece in the range is a cover for her curling iron she can use while it is still hot.
She said: ''So many times I have had to leave the hotel and rush to the airport but my curling iron was still hot.
''Now I don't have to wait for it to cool - the bags can withstand 500 degrees of heat.''
