Tour De France cycling hero Lance Armstrong struggled through the New York City Marathon yesterday (05NOV06), coming in 856th in a field of more than 35,000 runners. The former fiance of rocker Sheryl Crow clocked up an impressive time of just under three hours, but confessed afterwards the 26.2 mile course had tested his fitness and stamina levels. The seven-time Tour De France champ admitted, "That was without a doubt the hardest physical thing I have ever done."
