Clarkson's broken teeth lay scattered around the foyer and a nearby stairway of the Alhambra, California, home on 3 February (03), and blood was smeared on the wood railing of the stairway and the back door handle.
Detectives also discovered blood on a man's coat in an upstairs dressing room and found a cloth soaked in Clarkson's blood in a bathroom near the foyer, according to the court papers.
The information, gleaned for search warrants, affidavits and other papers, were released by LOS ANGELES COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT Judge CARLOS URANGA at the request of the LOS ANGELES TIMES.
Spector's driver, ADRIANO DESOUZA, told investigators heard a single gunshot at 5am on the day Clarkson died and that the producer came outside with a gun in his hand and told his employee he thought he had killed someone.
This would contradict Spector's only public statement since the death, when he told a magazine interviewer that 40-year-old Clarkson had committed suicide.
Last month (NOV03), prosecutors charged 63-year-old Spector with murdering nightclub hostess and aspiring actress Clarkson.
He is free on $1 million (GBP588,235) bail and faces a possible life sentence if convicted.11/12/2003 00:13
