Lamar Odom spent Thanksgiving with his father.
The basketball player was hoping to spend the holiday with his wife Khloe Kardashian and her family, however his mother-in-law Kris Jenner was adamant his father Joe - who previously battled a heroin addiction - was not invited to the family celebrations.
The 58-year-old star and her family were catapulted to the spotlight on reality series 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' and the show does not ''feature'' Joe.
A source told HollywoodLife.com: ''Both Lamar and Joe wanted to be there, but you know, the Kardashian's don't really feature Joe.
''Joe wanted to be there, with Lamar and as a family, but Kris flat out said 'no' and that she 'wants no part of Joe' at her table.''
Lamar - who has been having marital problems with his reality star wife after himself facing drug problems and accusations of infidelity - wanted to avoid any arguments and accepted Kris' decision.
The source added: ''Lamar didn't want any drama and Joe understood that and they both agreed it would be better just to have a quiet meal together.''
Lamar is hoping the Kardashian matriarch will eventually come around and include his father in future plans.
The source explained: ''There are other holidays coming up and all the families will be together then. Lamar and Joe both hope Kris is a forgiving woman and will see Joe in a better light.''
