Lady GaGa evidently had a good night at the Grammy Awards, the 25 year-old one of those clearly making the most of a musical coming together given added significance in wake of the sad news that Whitney Houston had passed away in her Los Angeles hotel room. In fairness to Gaga she was far from the show stealer this year, normally making an extravagant appearance at events such as these she instead settled for giving Paul McCartney a kiss and passing on her praise to the all-conquering Adele - although her outfit for the evening wasn't too dressed-down, the star wearing a black outfit covered in fishnet.
The Huffington Post reports that Gaga even forewent the red carpet this year, and her quiet night continued as she lost out on all three categories she was up for - Album Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album. She wasn't bitter in defeat though, not least to the person who beat her to all three Adele, and later she Tweeted her compliments to the multi-million selling artist, saying "What a beautiful night last night was, Adele deserved every award she won and perhaps an extra one for being such a kind and lovely woman."
Instead, the star made do with giving legendary Beatle MACca a peck on the cheek, something the recently married veteran seemed to rather enjoy.
