Lady GaGa has ended Adele's lengthy reign over the U.K. album chart - Born This Way has debuted at number one with the biggest first week sales of the year (11) so far.
The pop superstar forced Adele's 21 into second place by selling over 215,000 units - more than the entire top 10 combined, according to figures released by the Official Charts Company on Sunday (29May11).
Gaga's soaring popularity also saw her first album, 2009's The Fame, climb its way back into the chart at seven.
The Prodigy was another new entry at five with World's On Fire Live.
Meanwhile, rapper Pitbull held onto the top spot in the British singles chart for a second week running with Give Me Everything.
